Stains / Emma Sham-Ba
My daughter is in the north facing the magnitude of the sea.
And I'm in the south facing the
magnitude of the light.
It is impossible to quantify
The similarities between us
Two stains from the same painting.
Light over water
One brush stroke in the painting of
Claude Monet.
My daughter is looking at me
And seeing
A blurry stain.
I am looking at my daughter
And seeing
An atmosphere envelops a star.
My daughter and I are
Looking at the moon
The craters mark thePlaces where there were collisions
Dust covers my hair
The wind is pleading me guilty
Why did you abandon me?
After a long time
Of silence
Questions lie between us.
Why do stars shatter in your heart
And how does
A word connect to a word in your head
On what kind of stool do you sit when you are sad
What brings you back to yourself from all the others
When do you remember me being your mother
And
May I already send a long hand
And caress you with the words:
"My daughter".
