Sacred Mosaics & Kabbalistic Wisdom: Gathering the Divine Sparks
Welcome! The rainbow of tiles that greets you on our driveway isn't just decoration. These are our art supplies. We'll be breaking these tiles, exploring the art of the broken heart through their fragmentation and reconstruction.

Here in our healing space, we begin by acknowledging what hurts. The studio offers a sanctuary where every emotion has its place—rage finds visceral release as we break ceramic tiles with hammers, transforming destruction into the first step of creation, knowing these very fragments will become part of something beautiful in our mosaic work. We honor both the breaking and the rebuilding.
In Kabbalistic teachings, Shevirat HaKelim—the Breaking of the Vessels—shows us that brokenness and imperfection are not mistakes, but part of the natural process of creation. When the infinite light (Or Ein Sof) poured into the vessels of creation, they shattered, scattering divine sparks into the fragments of what appears broken. The process of tikkun olam—restoring the world—calls us to gather these sparks and transform brokenness into beauty.
At RAZA, we honor this sacred story through The Art of the Broken Heart, a creative practice of healing and transformation. Mosaic-making, collage-making, mandala painting, and ritual become acts of repair. In our studio, vibrant tiles, glass, paper, and tools for breaking and re-creating await as we sift through fragments to find beauty in jagged edges, torn shapes, and irregular forms.
Mosaics and collages mirror the sacred process of bringing fragments into wholeness. Mosaics use physical shards, while collages layer torn images, textures, and paint to create harmony from chaos. These acts remind us that what has been fractured can become beautiful when approached with care and intention.
Whether shaping light fixtures, flower pots, sculptures, paintings, or poetry, this practice becomes a sacred act of repair—revealing the divine spark even in what seems discarded.

Mosaic-making and collage-making become metaphors for the soul’s journey—gathering fragments mirrors the sacred work of restoring divine sparks. Each shard or torn piece becomes a prayer, a part of the greater whole, teaching us that every fragment has its place in creation.
