Spiritual Accompaniment: Opening the Gates of Consciousness
I'm Emma Sham-Ba Ayalon, an artist, a Rabbi and a spiritual companion dedicated to creating spaces for deep exploration and transformation. My practice is rooted in Kabbalah, the Book of Zohar, the diaries of Etty Hillesum, along with animistic traditions. With over two decades of experience in spiritual teachings and creative expression, I guide others through retreats, one-on-one accompaniment, and the RAZA Mystery School.
Spiritual accompaniment reminds us of the Essence of SOUL. It doesn't mean abandoning the material world, but rather growing from within it and recognizing how the spiritual complements the physical. It isn't about denying darkness, but finding the courage to look into it and discover the light that emerges through honest observation. Rather than offering structured beliefs, it provides loving presence that allows personal faith to awaken and find its own expression.
Spiritual accompaniment is about creating sacred space for exploration, not providing answers. As your companion, I walk alongside you through life's transitions and existential questions, helping you connect with your inner wisdom and the sacred. This journey is about presence - listening deeply and nurturing your unique connection with the divine and with your Soul's journey. Together, we develop practices that open consciousness and deepen your relationship with the sacred, tailored to your individual path. Verses of Transition
the Mystery School invites you to step into one of life’s most profound and transformative mysteries: the reality of death. Through the lens of Kabbalistic wisdom, biblical verses of transition, The Tibetian book of dead, the myth of Orpheus, mystical teachings from the Book of Zohar, and the insights of thinkers like Osho, Stephen Jenkinson, and Francis Weller, we create a sacred space to confront mortality, meditate on teh reality of death, honor grief, and rediscover the fierce love for life that arises when we embrace its impermanence. During the retreat you will be asked to choose a verse that will accompany your transformation process
Psalm Cards
The Psalms hold ancient wisdom that transcends time. Through contemplative reflection using our specially curated Psalm cards that I made with Eyal Bar Kochva we engage with these sacred texts, allowing them to speak to our hearts and guide us on our spiritual path. We will use the Psalms as our guide to the languages of praise.
Kabbalah Teachings
Kabbalah offers profound insights into the nature of existence and the hidden connections within creation. Together, we delve into these mystical teachings, often with the help of the Sparks cards that I developed together with Eitan Kedmi and Hagai Rom. The cards illuminate challenging concepts in an accessible way. Our study is supported by sacred texts, primarily from the Book of Zohar, and focuses on cultivating a deeper understanding of the divine. Sometimes our study will be a source of inspiration for expressing our prayers or for painting a Kabbalah - Mandala.
Etty Hillesum Cards
Etty Hillesum’s writings offer a profound example of spiritual life in the face of immense suffering. Through the Etty Hillesum cards, developed by Dina Awwad Srour and I, we draw inspiration from her courage, humanity, and deep spirituality. Her words remind us of the resilience of the human spirit and the power of compassion and presence.
At RAZA Mystery School, we weave together various spiritual practices to support your journey. Through guided visualization, we explore your soul's symbolic language in deep inner journeys, with each session transcribed to preserve its wisdom. Our meditation practices include both traditional Jewish meditation techniques and daily sunrise meditations where we quiet the mind and open the heart. For deeper healing, we offer Reiki treatments that address physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being through gentle energy work. Our approach is deeply rooted in animistic practices, teaching you to connect with the living spirit in nature - we believe that the trees in this place are better healers than us. Above all, we embrace mystery work, remember and surrender to what lies beyond comprehension.
